Now Showing In Budapest: 'Resident Evil: Extinction'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Resident Evil: Extinction'
"Alice and other survivors find themselves loose in the Las Vegas desert, moving from place to place in an armored convoy, outrunning and outgunning the throngs of Undead that lurk in the wide, empty spaces that can no longer be called civilization.

Movie type: Action Horror - Like the first two film, this is a violent zombie action thriller not so much for the devoted fans of the video game than star Milla Jovovich. This is one aimed at the young male action crowd, and the film is too violent for the kids."

Director: Russell Mulcahy

Script: Paul W.S. Anderson

Starring: Milla Jovovich (Alice), Oded Fehr (Carlos Olivera), Ali Larter (Claire Redfield)

Length: 1 hr. 34 min.

Reviews:

„Jovovich again displays more physicality than personality, but that's all her role requires. The sketchily written supporting characters are defined entirely by the actors who portray them.” By Joe Leydon

"The story and characters are surprisingly engaging, with fight scenes and scares effectively placed between plot turns. Alice's encounter with the convoy, however, turns out to be little more than an hourlong diversion to set up her ultimate battle with what can only be described as the Barry Bonds of zombies.” By Los Angeles Times

"For most moviegoers, a film needs to do much more than a video game. When you’ve got a controller in your hand, obsessing on one note (bang, bang) is fine. That’s not enough when we’re in the passive position of sitting back and watching a film, and that’s why this movie has a very limited value – its makers simply haven’t taken the risk of trying to make the movies more than the video game mandated.” By Brian Webster
