ProMinent To Move Filter Production To Hungary From Malta

ProMinent To Move Filter Production To Hungary From Malta
"Germany's ProMinent, a company dealing in water treatment and the manufacturing of components and systems for chemical fluid handling, is moving the production of Dulcofilt filters for domestic use to its Hungarian subsidiary in Gyõr (northwest Hungary) from Malta, business daily Világgazdaság reported on Tuesday.

ProMinent has been producing industrial filters in Gyõr for three years and filters with active carbon have been made there since 2000. The company decided on the transfer of the Dulcofilt unit for cost-efficiency reasons because the bulk of its products are sold in mainland Europe therefore shipping costs can be reduced.

Production of the filters is expected to be launched at the Hungarian plant in two months, and the factory's 23-strong workforce is to be expanded.

The Gyõr-based company targets HUF 750 million revenues for this year, which is hoped to be boosted by HUF 50-80 annually by the manufacturing of the new product."
