"Hungary's Association of Writers will present a two-day series of presentations on literary censorship during the Kádár era in Budapest's Petőfi Literature Museum on October 27-28.Was there freedom from censorship in Hungary during the Kádár era? Not yet. And were there artists who, nevertheless, expressed themselves as if there were no censorship? Yes," says Péter Fábri, the organiser of the event, which bears the title Within And Beyond The Borders of Censorship - Independent Literature Groupings in the Kádár Era.
