Kornél Nágel In The Kempinski Gallery Until 31 March

Kornél Nágel In The Kempinski Gallery Until 31 March
"Reading, listening to and illustrating György Faludy’s poetry is a miracle. The illustrations at this exhibit are born out of a lucky constellation of rare moments. I made these pictures using traditional graphics techniques because this is how I thought it best to express the eternal message of the poems.

The way the press left its imprint on the paper is the way these poems left their markings in me.

Illustrations primarily represent to me an experiencing of poetry in a different, more profound way. I look up to artists whose work touches me, as idols. I can only communicate the experiences I had through these artists by presenting in my pictures, from a slightly different point of view, the effect they and their work had on me.”
