United Way's Everyone's Children's Day 2008 is another opportunity for us to mention our focus for this year: support those children who have suffered injuries in accidents.
Timea Pinter, who is host of this year's event and who advised on creating the set for this year's event, herself suffered a tragic car accident. Timea lost both her legs and now uses a wheelchair - but this took nothing of her joy in life away. On the contrary, it released enormous energies within her.
"My condition is not one about which I need to be bitter. It gives me an opportunity to help those who have suffered the same fate, people who gain strength from my optimism," said Timi as she agreed to host the event.
Toffifee is also participating in this year's event. Storck Hungaria, which distributes Toffifee has acted for years to promote physical activity and a balanced diet, emphasising that eating chocolate and sweets can be beneficial in moderation and if combined with exercise.
For this reason, on Children's Day, 100 footballs (official copies of the 2008 European Championship ball) and Toffifee's will be given to the National Association of Large Families, the Cseppko utca Children's Home and the young footballers of the Burattino School for the Disadvantaged, thanks to Storck Hungaria's sponsorship - and most appropriately at a time when the European Championship is in full swing.
Toffifee has made it possible for everyone to try out their football skills at the event (giant table football, giant goalmouths with training machines), and people can also watch a performance by the First Hungarian Freestyle Football Association. Visitors will see a range of other exciting games and performances.
