Now showing in Budapest: 'Death Race'

Now showing in Budapest: 'Death Race'
"The post-industrial wasteland of tomorrow, with the world's most brutal sporting event as its backdrop. A penitentiary full of felons has inspired the jailers to create a grisly pastime ripe for lucrative kickbacks. Now, adrenalized inmates, a global audience hungry for televised violence and a spectacular arena come together to form the Death Race.

Movie type: Action Thriller - This is a loud, violent, profane car race movie aimed at the young male action crowd. Fans of Jason Statham may be disappointed that he doesn't have any martial arts fights here, as almost all of the action occurs with cars.

Director: Paul W.S. Anderson

Script: Paul W.S. Anderson, Robert Thom, Charles B. Griffith, Ib Melchior

Starring:Jason Statham (Jensen Ames), Ian McShane (Coach), Joan Allen (Hennessey)

Length: 1 hr. 45 min.

Reviews:

“Death Race is a travesty of the original film but it delivers enough explosions, violence and vroom-vroom action to ensure that it remains entertaining if you leave your brain in neutral.” by Matthew Turner

“No fancy talk here, just solid, monosyllabic obscenities; no flights of digital fancy, just souped-up monster cars flipping end over end in a napalm blaze and crashing in a crunch of flaming metal ouch.”By Nathan Lee – New York Times

“This sci-fi fantasy about crazy Mad Max races in a high security prison is 8,000 horsepower of pure auto-erotic carnage.” by James Christopher – Times UK.
