"Best friends, Vicky and Cristina are invited to spend the summer in Barcelona. One night at an art gallery, Cristina sees a handsome painter. She is informed that he has an explosive relationship with his ex-wife which intrigues her. They end up going for a weekend trip to the provincial town of Oviedo."Movie type: Comedy Romantic - Like most of Woody Allen's other films, this is a talky comedy aimed at an adult audience. There are some sexual references and situations. Those drawn in by Penelope Cruz may be disappointed by her limited screen time.

Reviews:
Andy Klein: “he voiceover gives Vicky Cristina Barcelona the feeling of a fairy tale; while it might take place in a fairy tale world, the story is driven by sometimes unpleasant complexities.”
Bruce Bennett: “Woody Allen's latest may not convert new fans, but for those interested this lusty travelogue makes the most of its Spanish setting, with fascinating characters.”
Amy Nicholson: “While it's easy to tease Allen for implying that a Maxim fantasy is the secret to stable, if crowded bliss, there's enough grace and honesty in his ménage that it's practically practical.”
