"Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico announced on Wednesday that he would like to see a bridge built between Komárom and Komarno before 2014.Slovakia has already approved a plan for building the bridge, Népszabadság reports. However the outgoing Hungarian Transport Minister Pál Szabó is no longer concerned with the idea of a bridge, while his expected successor Csaba Molnár is not yet dealing with the matter.
A permit to build the bridge at a cost of Ft 270 million with financial support from the EU was completed by both towns last year. The bridge could cost a minimum of Ft 20 billion, the daily adds."
