Buskers to be tested to protect tourists’ ears
Buskers in Budapest are to have to take a yearly exam to protect tourists from musically incompetent beggars. The tests are the idea of the city council, which wants to ensure visitors to the city are met with pleasant and soothing sounds. Musicians who pass the exam will receive a certificate, which they must carry around with them.
