"Trombone-player? Trumpeter? Cornettist? Fluegelhorn-player? Name practically any brass instrument and Béla Szalóky plays it with brilliance and effortless ease. He is basically a mainstream player but is comfortable in any jazz-style.One of the most remarkable things about Bela is that, in our personal experience, he was the first Hungarian jazzman who was given greater ovation by a Budapest audience (notorious for its, at times, uncritical adoration of American stars) than his world famous partners. We mean this year's Scott Hamilton concert at the Palace of Arts.
Guitarist ISTVAN GYARFAS has been keeping together his happy, tuneful, modern swing trio for years now They've been gigging with Bela since 2004 giving their audiences a fantastic time. Istvan is one of the most enjoyable guitarists in this country. This couple of virtuosos is ably augmented by the acoustic bass-guitar of PETER CZAKO and the drums of BALAZS CSEH. If you like good-time jazz played at the highest standard, this is your chance!
