"Expat sausage man David Wilkinson cooked his new BBQ style British sausages at the Queen's Birthday Party celebrations at the Ambassadors residence on 11 June 2008.Over three hundred were served in a little over two hours - a real test of the sausage man's BBQing skills, a challenge he passed to everyone's satisfaction - even the Royal Family would have been proud of him.
The new Wilkinson BBQ sausage has a lower salt content than his tradtional Lincs variety, and are made from a traditional recipe handed down from Bernard, the senior sausage man in his family.
