'Best of Webber', National Concert Hall, 6 January
"Andrew Lloyd Webber, one of the most successful composers of all time and the undoubted king of the musical now celebrates his sixtieth birthday. The Palace of Arts and the Madách Theatre proudly present a joint gala show to pay tribute to Webber’s oeuvre.

Ever since the première of Cats in 1983, following the performances in London and New York, at the Madách Theatre, he has been one of the best known and most popular composers in Hungary.

The show takes a comprehensive look at his amazing output, with works like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Super Star, Evita, Aspects of Love, The Phantom of the Opera and The Beautiful Game.

We’ll be hearing songs from these shows but also there’ll be Hungarian premières of songs from Starlight Express, Whistle Down the Wind and Sunset Boulevard – theatre spectaculars that have never been staged in Hungary. The performers include the finest performers of musical theatre in Hungary as well as stars from the world of pop.

Featuring: Enikő Détár, Barbara Fonyó, Nikolett Gallusz, Judit Ladinek, Andrea Mahó, Szilvia Molnár, Szonja Oroszlán, Bea Palya, Lilla Polyák, Magdi Rúzsa, Attila Csengeri, Sándor Nagy, Attila Serbán, Adagio Ensemble and many others

Ticketprices: 2400.- 4500.- 6800.- 7900.- HUF

Travel Checques, Sodexho Culture Vouchers and Palace Gift Vouchers are also accepted at the Palace of Arts Ticket Office when purchasing tickets for this concert."

Concert starts at 8 p.m.
