"Budapest Airport (BA) announced today the Clear Channel Outdoor consortium as the winner of the tender of outdoor and indoor advertising at Budapest International Airport.Clear ChannelOutdoor’s wholly owned subsidiary Plakanda Management AG has won the right to sell indoor and outdoor advertising surfaces at the airport for a period of nine years (9) commencing 1 March 2008.
The introduction of an experienced and professional advertising operator is consistent with BA’s strategy of selecting the best partners to assist with the development of its commercial assets. BA will work closely with Plakanda Management AG to develop and grow the business.
BA retail director Bob McFadyen said, “The opportunity to secure the Master Advertising rights at Budapest Airport attracted much interest from the local and international advertising industry. We are very pleased with the outcome of the tender exercise which saw the appointment of an experienced and professional operator who is committed to work with us to bring new standards of excellence across all elements of airport advertising.
The appointment of Plakanda Management AG with its Clear Channel heritage will be particularly good news for companies keen to present their brands to the influential airport passenger market through high quality and innovative formats.”
