"On occasion of the Renaissance Year, the Palace of Arts announces a Madrigal Festival for school choirs to be held within the framework of the programme entitled
Renaissance Day at the Palace at 10:00-14:00 on Saturday, October 25, 2008.Choirs of institutions of public education are invited to apply for the festival in the categories of children’s choirs, same sex choirs and mixed choirs, with a programme consisting of renaissance madrigals and with a net programme time of seven minutes at the minimum and ten minutes at the maximum. Works may be performed in Hungarian or in the original language.
As the closing of the Festival, the joint choir formed from all participant choirs is to sing madrigals in three parts.
Preliminary applications are to be sent by e-mail to the address hangar@mupa.hu, by September 15, with the name of the school, the data of the contact person (name, telephone number, e-mail address) and the category of the choir specified.
Applicants are to be sent a detailed application form, the score material for the joint singing and any necessary further information by e-mail.
