"Named after famous confectioner József C. Dobos, the museum presents the work of the master alongside the world of chocolates, coffee and tea artefacts, and spectacular pieces of confectionary art.The creator of the Dobos cake, master confectioner József Dobos, was driven by the aim of producing a cake which would still be good at least 10 days after its preparation, taking into account the refrigeration techniques of his time. He himself was surprised when his cake became a real favourite. He first prepared this special cake in 1885 and made its recipe public in 1895. The museum also has a café, where the Dobos cake is still made according to the confectioner's original recipe."
