Foreigners Beaten In Galaxia Restaurant , Budapest
"Staff at the downtown Galaxia restaurant used force to make foreign guests pay exorbitant bills after they refused to pay. After the foreigners, two Iranian men, filed a complaint with the Fifth District police, the district notary had the bar closed. It was on a US embassy blacklist released last year.

Budapest Police press officer Melinda Sagyibó said the two men asked the restaurant staff to call police to clear up the bill, but were denied. One of them was then held captive while the other was escorted by several Galaxia staff to an ATM, where he was forced to withdraw the money. The man wanted to ask for police help but was pushed to the wall while his jewellery was torn off him. The same was done to the other man at the restaurant.

The two then filed a complaint at the district police station.

Two years ago French tourists at Galaxia were charged Ft 44,000 for two beers, an energy drink, a liqueur and a cappuccino, while in May last year an Indian couple were charged Ft 150,000 for lunch."

Everyone in this city knows these places operate but they never get shut down, why? Good for you guys for not just keeping quiet and filing a report.
