Gallery Shows Unrealised Visions For Budapest Skyline

Gallery Shows Unrealised Visions For Budapest Skyline
"Budapest's Körzőgyár Gallery is showing plans of buildings that were never built in the capital in an exhibition entitled IF.

The exhibition is part of the Month of Architecture, a celebration of creativity and an examination of how humans shape their environment that kicks off October 1, World Architecture Day.

The Month of Architecture is being organised for the fifth time this year, again under the direction of its founder Iván András Bojár. The theme for this year's festival is Yesterday's Tomorrow. Some 170 events are planned at 65 venues in 15 cities and towns during the month.

The goal of this year's festival is to show that architecture is going through a defining period not seen since the turn of the 19th century, says Bojár. The architecture of the 21st century, the modern face of Hungary, is being decided today.

IF is open until October 31, 2007. The Körzőgyár Gallery is located at Molnár u. 35, in Budapest's District V."
