Historical Play-House in National Museum

Historical Play-House in National Museum
"We invite kids to play to the Historical Play-House. We play out the past times presented by the Museum in the exhibitions so the children would not only see but grasp the meaning of the message of the objects of the past.

We magically fly back in time, revive an age by preparing its characteristic objects, pieces of clothing, and in the end, we recall its everyday or festive activities by playing together.

The program last for approx. 2, 2 and a half hours, during which - through visiting an exhibition - children become familiar with the characteristic objects of the past.

Based on this, they can prepare a similar object with which they participate in playing out that particular period.

This way, they can turn into a Roman soldier wearing a helmet in Pannonia, a young noble lady of the knights' age in a headdress, or a nobility in a wig at Count Eszterházy's party."
