Hungarian Forint Most Distressed In Region As Dubai News Spook Investors
"Amid the gloom that has enveloped the world’s stock markets, yesterday’s 2% loss for the Hungarian forint may continue today. A further descent for the currency is already apparent; the EUR/HUF rate has climbed from 272 last night to 274.50 on Thursday morning.

The worldwide stock market decline witnessed yesterday continued in Asia this morning. The negative sentiment is very supportive of the US dollar, with the USD/HUF rate slipped from 1.5020 to 1.4860.

Global trends have kept the region’s currencies under significant pressure, of which the forint stands out as the top loser. For a detailed background with FX analyst comments see:

The EUR/HUF rate rose from 272 last night to 274.50 this morning, a three-week low for the forint."
