Hungary Approves 2008 Budget

"Hungary will increase budget spending on retirement pensions, welfare, state administration and co-funding of EU projects next year, in line with a decisive vote on the 2008 budget in Parliament last night. At the same time, state expenditure on railway and highway construction, education and healthcare will be diminished compared with the 2007 budget. The 2008 Budget Act was passed with 206 “aye" and 106 “nay" votes."
