Jost Lammers Takes Over As CEO Of Budapest Airport

Jost Lammers Takes Over As CEO Of Budapest Airport
"Jost Lammers formally took charge as CEO of Budapest Airport (BA) from Dr. Reinhard Kalenda on 1 December. The handover was performed according to plan since Dr. Kalenda took leadership of the company for a transition period.

Dr. Kalenda will remain in his position as chairman of the Board of Directors of BA.

Jost Lammers said: “For the last three weeks I have been here at Ferihegy learning more and more about this magnificent airport. The job is challenging because airports in the 21st century are no longer just transportation hubs. They have to become service centers. I truly believe that Budapest Airport has a great potential and through the BUD Future development program we can put it on the fast track”.

Dr. Reinhard Kalenda said: “I’m confident about BA’s future because I know that the airport is in good hands. Jost Lammers has enormous experience on this field and he will do everything to achieve our common goal: to make Budapest Airport the most successful airport in Central and Eastern Europe in terms of passenger growth, service quality and operational efficiency up to 2011. As chairman of the Board of Director I will support him and the whole staff to reach our aims.”
