"The fourth metro line project is in chaos as its engineering supervisor Péter Jávor has resigned and the State Audit Office, after auditing the 2007 budget, has revealed payments without issued invoices that total Ft 2.3 billion.Jávor quit because he considers the amended technical designs for a tunnel under Szent Gellért tér hazardous, while the Office has called on DBR Project Management to employ an independent engineer supervisor.
Jávor told Magyar Hírlap on Monday that he does not want to “play the part of a court jester who only tells the truth, but to whom nobody listens.” He noted that DBR had deemed the contractor Bamco’s modified plans to be dangerous in July."
