"The zeal of investors on the stock exchanges of developed markets has apparenty abated since late Tuesday and their glee about bank rescues is giving way to recession jitters. This worsening sentiment has caused Hungary's forint to lose much strength versus the euro since yesterday afternoon. In yesterday's gung-ho attitude the HUF marched across the psychologically important 250 level versus the single European currency and was quoted at 248 in early afternoon trade.
By the evening hours, however, it slumped back to 252 and by 08:28 CET it was as weak as 256 to the EUR again."
