Quick Bites

Quick Bites
"Inspired by Lyon - Café Bouchon on Zichy Jenő utca takes its name from the little, family-run La Bouchon restaurants in the Lyon region, and aims to create a French-like atmosphere in Pest’s Dist VI.

It offers dishes such as grilled duck breast steak in honey-cherry sauce with almond-made potato croquettes, cold smoked salmon with lemon balm and creamy horse-radish sauce, plus a wide range of French and Hungarian wines. Call 353-4094.

Top tapas

Pata Negra at Kálvin tér is one of the best tapas bars of Budapest. The Spanish bar offers a wide range of appetizers from black and green olives mixed with caper berries to classic Spanish egg tortilla with potatoes and onion, while the menu is also rich in cheese plates like cured manchego cheese plate or soft goat cheese plate. Call 215-5626 or email patanegra@patanegra.hu.

Little pearl

the small, family Kisbuda Gyöngye (Pearl of Little Buda) restaurant in Óbuda, gives one the feeling of travelling back in time. The antique interior creates a pre-war atmosphere, as does the background music provided by a pianist. All the dishes are made exclusively from ingredients without additives. On the wine list, you will find, first and foremost Hungarian wines, but only from the best wineries in the country. Call 368-9227."
