Now Showing In Budapest: 'Sex and the City: The Movie'

Now Showing In Budapest: 'Sex and the City: The Movie'
"Sex and the City promises to answer all of the lingering questions – will Carrie and Big finally tie the knot? Can Samantha really be satisfied with just one man? Will Charlotte ever get pregnant? Can Miranda and Steve actually live happily ever after?"

Source: cinemareview.com

Movie type: Adventure - This big screen spinoff of the hit HBO series is basically another season of the sbow--a raunchy comedy-drama aimed at women, particularly in the 30s and 40s--and as such has a very long run time (nearly two and a half hours). Fans of the show and the target demographic will eat this up but will have a hard time generating general interest from, much less general interest, from non-fans

Director: Michael Patrick King

Script: Candace Bushnell

Starring: Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Kristin Davis (Charlotte York Goldenblatt)

Length: 2 hr. 25 min.

Reviews:

"Average Sex and the City isn't especially funny, although it labors hard to be."Berardinelli, Internet Critic

'Sex and the City' was famous for its frankness, and we expect similar frankness in the movie. We get it, but each “frank” moment comes wrapped in its own package and seems to stand alone from the story." Roger Ebert Average

"Good Fans of the HBO series are sure to enjoy the reunion of the fab four in Sex and the City: The Movie, who remain glamorous and guy-obsessed." USA Today

" Average Fans weaned on the stale, TBS version of the show will probably love it. Anyone expecting something remotely fresh is advised to look elsewhere." TV Guide Online
