Tesco Value Natural Gas

Tesco Value Natural Gas
"The consumer provider department of First Hungarian Natural gas- and Energy-trader and Provider Ltd (Emfesz) started a cooperation with Tesco for retail gas supplies, reported Hungarian daily, Népszabadság.

Consumers can conclude paper-based contracts in nine Tesco hypermarkets with the new retail gas supplier, Emfesz, previously available only online on gas.hu.

From the beginning of December the service will be available in 34 Tescos. Those who switch to Emfesz before the end of February will receive 8% discount from the administrative gas price. From July 1, 2009 there will be no administrative price for the natural gas and the discount offered by Emfesz will change accordingly.

Every consumer, private or company can switch to Emfesz; neither the pipes nor the meter has to be changed and the maintenance duties will remain with the former servicer Emfesz will provide only the product. The separation of the two services is made possible by the new regulations.

The switch between the providers takes three months. The new Tesco retails points are not customer service offices, said András Biczók, commercial manager of Emfesz. Customer service will continue to be available through telephone or internet."
