"Two Hungarian companies, Alerant Informatikai Zrt. and Onlinet Kft are in the top ten of Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 for the Central Eastern European (CEE) region, reported Hungarian internet news site Index.Another Hungarian company Nav N Go has come first in the Rising Star category for three years in a row.The CEE Technology Fast 50 rates the quickest growing companies annually based on their five-year profit growth.
Among the countries of the region, Hungary dominated the list by having altogether 14 companies recorded on this year's Fast 50. Among the best ten Hungary was represented by Alerant Informatikai Zrt with a main profile in business IT service-integrations and Onlinet Kft, specialized in client-calling systems and producing, marketing and servicing of information terminals.
Five-year profit growth of Alerant Zrt's reached 3,677% while the profits of Onlinet grew by 2,233%.
Preconditions to enter the competition include having over E50,000 revenue per year for the last five years, residence in a CEE country, developing own technologies and ploughing back considerable amounts on innovation. Applicants cannot be subsidiary companies of strategic corporate enterprises.
Young companies with great potential but without a 5-year history compete in category 'Rising Stars'. These companies tend to have an annual revenue over E30,000 in the last three years. The Rising Star category has carried by navigation software developer Nav N Go, boasting of a 7,838% profit increase."
