WIFI network in the Palace of Arts

WIFI network in the Palace of Arts
"From 1 July 2007, free "wifi" that is wireless Internet connection is available in the public areas of the Palace of Arts. The network covers the whole Vestibule and the Glass Hall too, and the signal can be received in good quality as far as the building of the National Theatre outside the Palace.

The point moist frequented by visitors will probably be the caf and terrace of the Ludwig Museum, where we are going to install several power sockets during summer maintenance in order to help the recharge of depleted accumulators.

The new network is capable of serving 150 clients parallel, however this number also depends on the number of people present at the given part of the building, as human bodies can shield airwaves significantly.

Network tests have begun in June already, while the network has been operating smoothly since 1 July. Free wifi is now one of the important services of the Palace of Arts. We hope that this will also contribute to the homely atmosphere and help visitors to acquire information about our programs more easily either while sitting in one of our cafs or outside."
