Xpat Running Club Gathers Pace

Xpat Running Club Gathers Pace
As the evenings lengthen and the weather improves, why not pull on your running shoes and head for the great outdoors? If running alone sounds too tough and you need the company of training buddies to motivate you, help is at hand.

Meeting on Wednesday evenings at 18:30 (Margitsziget) and Saturday mornings at 08:00 (start point announced by e-mail) a small but growing group of runners has started to meet for training runs. Turn up and join in, on the Wednesday evening runs you shall never be alone, the 5km track around the island’s perimeter is heaving with individuals and small groups knocking out lap after lap.

We have around ten interested expats from different walks of life & nationalities, already we've been for a run in the Buda hills a week ago, as well as around the island.

The pace you can run at will vary, don’t let yourself be put off, this is not an elite team of crack atheltes just yet!

My aim is to encourage people to come together to run. We will try match you up with other runners of similiar standard as numbers grow and it will be interesting to watch people’s fitness improve over the Spring and into Summer.
