Szilárd Németh said after a meeting of the MBSZ board that the Hungarian association received UWW leader Nenad Lalović’s letter informing them of the success of Budapest’s application on Thursday evening.

Hungary’s public media fund MTVA has concluded an agreement for public media to broadcast summer and winter Olympics between 2018 and 2024. The MTVA called the agreement “historic” in significance and said in a statement that this was the first time that the Games will be aired in Hungarian language throughout the Carpathian Basin.
