It’s the Christmas fair at BISB, where visitors could find lots of tempting Christmas goodies. As well as games and raffle prizes there was also the opportunity for photographs with Santa and Olfa.

Now on until 12 November. Sebastião Salgado photographer (born Aimorés, Brazil, 1944) following his previous long-term projects, between 2004 and 2011 made more than 30 different trips into the distant corners of the globe to capture nature in its original state. After numerous successful exhibitions the Genesis project - consisting of 245 spectacular black and white photographs – now in Budapest!

Peter Eötvös's fifth opera was commissioned by the Glyndebourne Festival and composed to Kornél Hamvai's multilingual libretto (constructed with elements of Yoruba, Latin and Spanish, in addition to the English) based on Gabriel García Márquez's novella of the same title.

It's the 35th time that the best Hungarian press photos of the previous year are put on display. We could hold a celebration, as they usually do on such major anniversaries, we could enumerate numbers, records, and results. And we could list the names of everyone who has contributed to everything that has been created over the past years.

This is what brought the European Union project entitled Connecting Early Medieval Collections (CEMEC) to life.
