"The British Embassy together with the Raoul Wallenberg Association organised a ceremony on 15 October at which a plaque was unveiled commemorating the courageous efforts of Raoul Wallenberg. The Swedish diplomat gave shelter for Hungarian Jews in the building of the British Embassy (Hazai Bank at that time).

Just like other expat kids in Hungary, on Monday morning this week Shiloh, Pax and Maddox all attended class in Budapest. Unlike most expat children though the Jolie-Pitt kids had former-SAS bodyguards, as well as police and paparazzi, around them at the start of school. "Managers of Budapest homeless shelter, Segítőház, caring for 300 homeless people daily, called mayday more than once recently claiming that the building was on its last legs. Yet, thanks to a recent charity auction, the shelter’s story has taken a good turn and conditions are expected to improve significantly before this year’s winter sets in.

"On Thursday May 13, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) in Budapest, Hungary, will celebrate 15 years of providing training to mid-level law enforcement officers from Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Over the past 15 years, ILEA has provided training to approximately 15,000 police officers from these regions.
