Painter Judit Reigl was born in 1923 in Kapuvár, and has been living and working in France since 1950. She is one of the rare artists of Hungarian origins who is recognised in the United States, and whose oeuvre uniquely combines the traditions of European and American abstraction.

The Collection of Egyptian Art, counting nearly 4000 items, is one of the richest in its kind in Central Europe. It is unique among the other collections at the Museum of Fine Arts in that it holds objects which result from Hungarian excavation projects.

A special show was staged by the children of the “Kedvesház” Home on Friday at the State Secretariat for Social Inclusion of the Ministry of Human Resources on the occasion of a conference on children with multiple disadvantages.

Masaaki Miyasako represents the pinnacle of Japanese culture as one of Japan’s leading artists. His work utilizes traditional Japanese painting techniques to present themes with a modern sensibility.
