A concert was held at Budapest’s Holocaust Memorial Centre on Thursday night to mark the 70th anniversary of the Roma Holocaust. The concert featured renowned jazz pianist Béla Szakcsi Lakatos and the chamber orchestra of violinist Lajos Kathy-Horváth.

It is “almost certain” that Jewish federation Mazsihisz will stay away from the April 16 start of government programmes of the Holocaust Memorial Year, Mazsihisz leader András Heisler told Wednesday’s Népszabadság.
