Children's Day Interactive Family Programs, Mupa Budapest, 28 May
Concerts, storytelling, amusement park, and creative activities await children at Müpa on Children's Day.

On the last Sunday of May, the beloved program series for families, Cifra Palota, expands to an XXL size, offering numerous free programs and activities both indoors and outdoors for those who prefer active and enriching experiences over "cotton candy moments."

If it's Sunday, then it's all about kids at Müpa! During the weekly Cifra Palota event, the walls resonate with the buzz of children, as every corner of the venue holds special excitement for the youngest generation of Müpa visitors.

On May 28th, the experience multiplies: in celebration of Children's Day, Cifra Palota - along with the number of programs - expands multiple times, offering concerts, storytelling, an amusement park, and creative activities for the whole family!

The colorful programs kick off at 10 o'clock: on the outdoor music stage, Marék Veronika's beloved character, Boribon, invites everyone to dance, the veteran Cifra Palota performer, Búgócsiga Zenede, attempts to tame unruly melodies, Cimbaliband cooks up Balkan and folk rhythms in their musical "witch's kitchen," Daniel Speer Brass prepares the most popular nursery rhymes in their signature brass ensemble style, and the Superar concert concludes the lineup.

For those who love enchanting adventures, it's worth heading towards the Átrium, where the popular interactive children's activity, Kerekítő Tippentő, is followed by Sanyi, Én és a gyerekek's interactive tale filled with folk songs, spoon puppets, dance, and lots of laughter.

Then, together with the Pereputty puppet ensemble, children can embark on a quest to find Bebek the Shepherd's treasure. The Csod-Állatos tales revolve around the story of a sassy hedgehog, and the day concludes with the Napra-Forgó dance house and lively dancing. In the Festival Theatre, a true superstar arrives: Mary Poppins, the unforgettable nanny of children's literature, whose bag is bottomless, and her manners are always impeccable.

This time, she takes the stage in the performance by the Veresi Ballet consisting exclusively of children.

We have prepared experiences in almost every square centimeter of the area in front of Müpa: the traditional basket swing starts swinging again, in the peasant courtyard with a brick oven, children can learn about the wonders of bread baking, the bravest can test their skills in the Dragon's Castle and the Seven Challenges games, in the amusement park, they can try out various fun games from horseshoe throwing to chicken boxing, and in addition, there are dozens of logic and skill games awaiting children.

The wheelchair obstacle course and sensory games that simulate visual impairment enhance emotional intelligence and empathy. Throughout the day, creative workshops in the building allow participants to create rag dolls, pinwheels, scent bags, or even paper kites or musical instruments from recycled materials, which they can try out on the spot.

The youngest ones - and their parents - can participate in hugging and singing sessions in the Glass Hall.
