The Tasting Table sommeliers head into the kitchen to teach you how to prepare a classic Hungarian Christmas specialty—poppyseed bejgli, found everywhere during the Christmas season—while doing a tasting of three wines.

Whether you have the wines or not, join for some fun in the kitchen of The Tasting Table!

If you’d like to prepare bejgli at home along with the organisers, here's a list of ingredients.

𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝:
375 grams Flour
37 grams Icing sugar
150 grams Butter
17 grams Fresh yeast (8 grams, if using dry yeast)
250 milliliters Milk
3 eggs
5 grams Salt

𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜:
250 grams Poppy seed, ground
150 grams Icing sugar
1 Orange, zested
1 Lemon, zested
100 milliliters Milk
70 grams Raisins, optional
