The 7th Fish Festival in Budapest will take place close to the river Danube this year, near Eötvös Loránd University, between 16–17 February. As usual admission is free of charge.
The festival offers, among other things, fish dishes from the two main rivers of Hungary, the Danube and the Tisza, and from lakes Balaton, Tisza, Fertő and Velence.
Heated tents, concerts, an amusement park, aquariums, adventure fishing, and a giant barbecue await visitors. Read on to find out which fish will be the star of the show, and more.
