Hungary is to have its own stand for the first time at the British Educational Training and Technology (BETT) show in London, Tamás Deutsch, the prime minister’s commissioner for digital welfare, told public television. The show, the largest on educational technology in the world, is to be held between January 24-28.

“Austrian-owned furniture manufacturing group Ada is expanding its Hungarian production capacity with an investment of 5.2 billion forints (EUR 16.8 million), towards which the Hungarian Government is providing one billion forints in non-returnable funding, 20 percent of the total cost of the project”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó announced.

In the absence of similar European funding, the financing provided by China is the most favourable for the upgrade of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line, Hungarian foreign minister Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday. The minister said there was no competitive financing alternative available for infrastructural investment to the 18-year Chinese US dollar loan with annual interest of 2.5 percent.
