We build a shining world for ourselves, where everything is nice and beautiful. The online culture we live in also demands this. How can we show our best face to both others and ourselves? We align our self-image to the false images of an online world.

We are forced to hide away the unacceptable, embarrassing details and the less glamorous content.

A secret is an event, a feeling, an unconscious impulse, a motivation, a desire, a force, information—something that we hide from the world and often from ourselves.

All it takes is a little spark to turn the secrets and information that are always floating around inside us into something powerful, making them appear in the book of our lives.

The events that happen to us tell us about the unexplored images that run within us when we open the door to our subconscious realm. This opens up a veritable storehouse of thousands of feelings: loneliness, self-confinement, exclusion, self-harm, self-suffering, betrayal, jealousy, envy, fear of loss, self-deception, and self-betrayal.

We play this game with others, just like putting on a play. Unconsciously, we engage the actors in the scenes of our lives with whom we can experience all that comes from within. In fact, we are the authors of our own stories.

We see a love story unfold in which we can follow the hidden secrets and the events woven by that same secret. The real question: How can we break free from the grip of our past? Can we stop the often disturbing effects of secrets on our lives?

Can we face up to what we have locked inside ourselves?
