Covid Cases Rising Again in Hungary
The long-term decline of confirmed coronavirus cases stalled in mid-June and the numbers have begun to rise, 444 writes.

This trend is similar to that in several Western European countries, with the number of people infected starting to rise in June, earlier than in previous years.

The government’s coronavirus information website switched from publishing the data daily to weekly in early May. At that time, 6,748 new infections a week were reported, which has since decreased to 1,636. However, in the current report there are 1,961 new infections.

It is hard to say what this means, 444 adds. Many catch the virus without being officially recorded because people test themselves at home or possibly not at all.

Moreover, the government’s coronavirus page fails to reveal the proportion of positive cases found in official tests.

More coronavirus patients died last week (32) than the week before (23). However, the number of Covid-infected people in hospitals declined from 232 to 197.
