This week a small group of guys – a couple of expats (our Hungarian wives said we could go) and a local bloke – checked-out the Hooters restaurant at Liszt Ferenc tér. The good news is that Hungarians tend to adore children. Everyone, it seems, from the little old lady in the grocery line to the tough-looking security guard makes a big fuss over children. Waiters are generally patient when it comes to dining with children, even when their crying doesn’t make them look so cute anymore. The bad news is that restaurants rarely have children’s menus.
