Fountain On Margaret Island In Budapest Starts Operating With A Refreshed Musical Repertoire

The fountain on Margaret Island will play melodies again. The rebuilt and enlarged fountain was inaugurated last year by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Budapest Mayor István Tarlós. The musical repertoire of the fountain is refreshed and extended as follows:
Club Akvárium In Budapest Opens On 30 March

1500- and 700-capacity concert halls, music bar, bistro-restaurant and grand terrace: Club Akvárium is all of this in one, opening to the public on March 30 in Erzsébet square, Budapest. On the opening day, symphonic concerts will be presented by Ghymes at 10 AM and Magashegyi Underground at 9 PM.

Join us on March 16th on Szabadság tér from 14:00 and participate in St Patrick’s Day parade. Since 2011 the event has been growing and attracting more and more followers. It is a great family day and last year, despite the cold weather, we had over 1400 people join the fun.

Bela Bartok’s Sonatas for Violin and Sonata for Violin on audio CD has won the prestigious international Gramophone Award. Zoltan Kocsis (laureate of the Hungarian Kossuth Prize twice) plays the piano and Barnabas Kelemen (Kossuth Prize laureate) plays the piano. Kelemen received the Gramophone Award in London in September.
