"The open-air concert series Moonlight Nights began in 1999 on the initiative of Endre Hegedűs, a Liszt Prize winning piano artist, and his wife. Their aim was to offer relaxing night concerts that provide real entertainment to local and foreign music lovers, in the heart of Budapest, after the hot hours of summer day,s in the open air.

The sun is shining and tables and chairs have miraculously appeared outside many of Budapest’s favorite restaurants. One such, the venerable Véndiák restaurant, located right on Egyetem Tér, across from the law school, has the added attraction of overlooking Budapest’s newest renovated square.
Embassies In Hungary Going Green And Fair Trade

"In January, the Dutch Embassy became the first embassy in Hungary to go Fair Trade. The embassy just placed their first order of Treehugger Dan's Fair Trade Kafequo coffee (55% arabica/45% robusta). The beans come from Peru and Tanzania, and are mixed and roasted by Caffe Agust in Italy. This move was quickly followed by the Gambian Embassy.
