The national holiday celebrations in Budapest will again span four days this year, with hundreds of programmes on offer to expats at some 20 venues from today, 18 August.
Hundreds of programmes, family and children's events, pop and classical concerts, as well as traditional Hungarian cuisine and capped-price drinks are on offer.
Festivities include an air show, and will close with traditional fireworks over the Danube - with 40,000 set to go off between the Margaret and Petőfi bridges from 9pm on the 20th.
