Crowdfunding is an effective model to give support to creative projects that could not be attained due to the lack of financial background. It is a type of collective cooperation and trust by people who network and pool their money together to enable fresh ideas to put into realization. Following the track of two American portals - www.indiegogo.com and www.kickstarter.com - that have been operating successfuly since 2008, www.creativeselector.hu decided to start the first crowdfunding page in Hungary.

It helps cultural ideas, NGO-iniciatives, the inventors of silly gadgets or any talent to effectuate their ideas. The portal gives surface to several creative projects and so those, who like them can give finacial support to them. 300.000 HUF might be a huge amount of money to be paid from one pocket but if there are 50-100 people who find it important to support a good idea, a dream can become reality in a second.

In this process the Meacenases in accordance with the amount they fund will be given all sorts of allowances. All „donations” can be transfered easily, safe and cheap via the portal due to the safe banking background that is provided by CIB.

There are four projects on www.creativeselector.hu right now that are waiting for supporters: two ladies would like to publish their book on how to make bio-soap at home. Depending on the amount of transfered money they offer soap-making ingredients, participation on their workshops or a copy of the future book to the supporters.

Boglárka Tóth has designed a chair especially for women, the Wonderlab-team would like to produce harmonizing jewellery sets that can be worn both by dog-owners and their pets whilst a unique stress-releasing device, the so-called Orditronic also collects for the production-cost.

Apart form the presently running projects www.creativeselector.hu awaits all sorts of new, innovative ideas as it wishes to give opprtunity for many.
