Demo Against Homelessness Penalty Office In Budapest
A group of about 50 activists of the “City Belongs to Everyone” held a demonstration in Budapest against regulations penalising homelessness, demanding regulations that “penalise living permanently in public space” be scrapped.

The demonstration was staged in front of a government office which arranges the detention of homeless people facing legal proceedings for violating the regulations.

The activists said the state should spend the more than 200 million forints (EUR 643,000) earmarked for the operation of the penalty offices this year on “meaningfully” tackling the issue of homelessness.
