Uzbek Air Link to Hungary Ends After Only Two Weeks
Uzbek’s Qanot Sharq airlines has discontinued its direct air link connecting Hungary with Uzbekistan after only two weeks and three flights of the Budapest-Tashkent route, travel website Spabook reports.

The September 10 flight was still included in the Flightradar database but was no longer accessible on the Budapest Airport website.

The airport confirmed that not only was Sunday’s flight cancelled, but the Budapest-Tashkent link had been deleted from the schedule.

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced on August 19 after receiving Uzbek Industry and Trade Minister Laziz Kudratov that the two countries would launch direct flights between Budapest and Tashkent.

Spabook reports that Wizzair will operate direct flights to Uzbekistan from December but will land in Samarkand.
