Hungary’s economy has benefitted a lot from cooperation with Mexico, its leading partner in Latin America, and Hungarian companies have “profited much” from Mexico’s industrial development, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, said on an official visit to Mexico City.

Commemorations were held in Siculeni (Madéfalva), in central Romania, on Saturday, marking the anniversary of a massacre in which hundreds of Szekler Hungarians were slain by Austrian troops 259 years ago. In a commemorative speech at the Siculicidium Memorial, Hungarian Justice Minister Judit Varga said that like the history of the Hungarian nation, “our joy and our sorrow are also one”.
