Iconic Citadella in Budapest Reopens to Public Soon

After years of extensive restoration and being hidden behind construction fences, Budapest’s iconic fortress atop Gellért Hill the Citadella is officially was set to reopen on Saturday, but it has been rescheduled due to forecasted strong winds expected this weekend.

The ambitious project has transformed the formerly neglected military site into a vibrant community space, doubling down on its identity as a "Bastion of Freedom".
