Cyberattacks Silence Eger Media Websites, After They Published a Covert Recording
Local media sites in Eger and also Media1 were subjected to distributed-denial-of-service cyberattacks on Monday after publishing a recording in which mayor Ádám Mirkóczki talked about setting up a pseudo-independent local news website, Media1 reports.

Mirkóczki, an independent politician formerly with Jobbik, is heard discussing the possibility with an unidentified person, who is probably Zsolt Egyed, owner of Sztárbox Média and operator of government-friendly station Rádió 1 Eger, according to Media1.

Local websites Egerinfo, Egri Válasz, Eger Hírek and Egri Ügyek were also attacked.

Media1 has filed a report on the cyberattack with the police.
